I thought it might be fun to bring you a weekly mini project that is simple, inexpensive, and fun to make. This week’s Monday Mini Project is from How About Orange. {Click on the link to go to the tutorial.} These bow tie paper clips from fabric scraps make great bookmarks. I use them to mark recipes in my cookbooks. I also clip them onto file folders so I can quickly and easily find my most used files, because if there is anything I hate more than taking photos for this blog, it’s filing!

If you really want to shave time off this project, use this modification:

1. Use lace ribbon instead of fabric.

2. Loop the lace through the paperclip.

3. Tie left tail over right and pull tight. That’s it. Seriously easy, huh?

The {crappy} photo’s below show the result using the lace ribbon.
