MothersDayCard1It only took me a few minutes (ok, an hour) to whip up this card for Mom. But, she loves hand made anything from yours truly, and I’ve no doubt this will put a smile on her face;-)

I started with an actual blank card from the “The Big Box Around The Corner” store and just used my paper cutter to eye ball the shape of a flower pot. I selected the pretty pink check paper and traced, then cut to fit, then ran my tape gun along the wrong side of the paper and adhered to the card stock.

Next, I added a pretty pink ribbon, again using my tape gun to run adhesive along the back side, then I attached, and trimmed. Then I glued four of the flowers to the card itself. The two flowers at the top were glued to a blank bookmark that I attached to the back of the card, so that it extended above the card by an inch or so. I scored it slightly so that the card would open easily.

I dug out a couple of butterfly’s and attached them as well. Mom likes flowers and butterfly’s so, yeah, this will go over big;-)

Inside I wrote:

Mom,

I love you more than you love me, because you have only loved me a part of my life, while I have loved you for all of mine.
