A fabulous project that combines Zoom Loom (Pin Loom) squares, and crocheting, and knitting to make this cowl.

It’s not often you can find a project that combines three crafts and turns them into a pretty amazing finished cowl! I had started and frogged several projects with this yarn and none of them seemed to be working. But, once I decided to weave a square on my Zoom Loom, I knew I’d found the perfect medium for this fiber. A mad search through Pinterest and I found this Zoom Loom Cowl pattern by Lois Weaver. (Do you suppose that’s really her last name?)

You begin by weaving 8 squares, followed by a single crocheted edging around each square. Sew the squares together and then pick up stitches around the top for a 2×2 ribbing. Repeat the ribbing along the bottom and voila! You’ve got yourself a very unique completed cowl. It really was a lot of fun to make and didn’t take much time. Give it a whirl and see what you think.

Our local spinners and weavers guild is have a Zoom Loom workshop. Members are getting together and I’d love to share your site and details about your project with them. Do you remember what yarn you used? It’s just beautiful, definitely one we’d like to make.

      Hi Debbie,
Ugh! I do not know what yarn I used! Shame, shame, shame on me! I even sent the photo of the completed project to the local yarn store where I purchased the yarn and they weren’t able to help me out. I have to say, it was a super fun project, and I loved the combo pin loon/knitting together in one project. You’ll love making it, no matter which yarn you choose;-)
